The carer’s day can sometimes start early as they may assist their care recipient with getting out of bed, bathing, dressing, and having breakfast and sorting meds.  Carers often help with household chores such as cleaning, cooking, and laundry and may also assist with meal planning and grocery shopping.  Being a carer is not always sunshine and roses but it is rewarding.  Throughout the day they may offer emotional support and companionship, spend time engaging in conversation, offer comfort, and participate in activities to enhance the well-being and social interaction of their service user.
