FAQs

Is your organisation insured in order to protect my safety and interests?

Yes. Wellbeing Homecare has full cover insurance, which not only protects our CareGivers but also you as our service user.

Will I have a choice of who comes to my home?

Yes, your opinion and views are paramount. Here at Wellbeing Homecare we want you to be able to live the life that you want to. This includes whom you would like to support and care for you. After a thorough selection period, we do our very best to match CareGivers to your requirements and lifestyle. However, should you wish to change your CareGiver, at any point, we will always accommodate your request.

What happens if my regular CareGiver is sick, or on holiday?

From the moment we welcome you to our family, you are introduced to a very small number of carers, typically 2-4 depending upon your care and support needs. This ensures that in times of sickness, or annual leave, you are always in the hands of friendly, familiar faces. If in the highly unlikely event that no regular CareGiver of yours is able to work, we will take the time to match you to another friendly CareGiver who we feel you will be happy and comfortable with. If at any point you feel you wish to change CareGivers you may raise these concerns so that we can accommodate your request.

Will my family member receive care from the same CareGiver?

Our aim is to build a long-term relationship with you and your family and we understand that having continuity and trust is key. Depending on the complexity of your care requirements, you may have many hours of care in a day throughout the week, therefore in order to meet these requirements it may be necessary to provide you with more than one CareGiver during the week. For shorter hours of care, we will introduce you to two CareGivers and for complex situations involving many hours of care and support, we will introduce you to two – four CareGivers. Rest assured, your wellbeing and happiness is most important to us and should you have any requests to change CareGivers we will be happy to accommodate you.

Can CareGivers help with medications?

Yes. All Wellbeing CareGivers are trained and qualified to assist and administer medication.

Can I change or terminate the services my loved one receives?

Here at Wellbeing Homecare we understand that, at times, vulnerable people are subject to rapid change when it comes to their lifestyle and needs. Therefore, it is important that we are as flexible as possible, so that you are able to change the number, and type, of service you receive whenever it is required. You may discontinue the services received from us at any time, as you are not bound to any contract.

How will I know whether a visit was completed?

Our CareGivers write up detailed notes in a logbook, which are kept in our service users’ homes. Within this, you will find information regarding how your loved one was during each visit, what services were provided, as well as the arrival and departure times. In addition to this, our service users and CareGivers sign a timesheet at the end of each visit.

Do I need to consult with my doctor before I begin your services?

You do not require a doctor’s go-ahead to receive services from us or any homecare company.

How much do your services cost?

Each individual has varying needs, therefore after liaising with you, your loved one and other professionals involved in their care, we construct a detailed Personal Care Plan tailored to your requirements and budget. The following will help us to determine the cost of your care:

  • Number of hours per week
  • Type of services received, for example personal care, companionship etc.

Our services are billed on an hourly basis. To discuss the exact rates of services please contact our office on: 01332  527543. We will be more than happy to organise a non-obligatory consultation to discuss your Personal Care Plan.

I require homecare services. Am I entitled to any financial help?

Some individuals are entitled to funding towards their care through their local authority or through other avenues such as NHS. However, this varies on a case-to-case basis and we are more than happy to help you to find out whether you are entitled to any financial aid. Please call our office on 01332 52 75 43 for assistance on your funding options.  You can also check out our section https://www.wellbeinghomecareservices.co.uk/whatamientitledto

Do I pay the CareGiver directly?

No, you will never have to pay CareGivers directly.

I do not wish for my personal information to be shared. How is the privacy of this maintained?

We will never sell your information to any third party. Only those CareGivers who are directly involved in your care and office staff will have access to information relating to you or your loved one’s care and details.
