It’s hard to imagine unless it happens to you. That moment when you realise that a loved one needs that extra help to enable them to stay in their own home. So many things to consider – It’s a minefield out there. This could be one of the most important decisions you ever have to make and I would say to anyone who is having to make this life changing decision – please think seriously about the three ‘R’s
Recommendation – this is so important. At Wellbeing Homecare Services, the majority of our care enquiries are from people who have chatted to neighbours, friends or relatives about the possible introduction of ‘care’ for a loved one. Perhaps just a mention in a conversation, a concern that perhaps a little ‘help’ should be introduced into the lives of a family member who seems to be struggling a little of late. “If someone could just give an hour or so to check that everything’s ok – help with a bit of personal care perhaps – and prep a sandwich for lunch, then it would give me a bit of a break and stop me constantly worrying. Maybe in the ‘not too distant’ future – say just a couple of days a week – to start with anyway, and lets see how we go from there”. It could have been noticed that their memory isn’t what it used to be – “I hope they’re remember to take their tablets every day”. This is how the conversation so often results in a recommendation for Wellbeing Homecare.
“My mum has them and they’re wonderful. The ladies are lovely and caring and I don’t know what she would do without them.’
We know that if someone wasn’t happy with our services, they certainly wouldn’t recommend us. It’s not like shopping for a new outfit or going to a restaurant for a meal. There’s no middle ground. You need to be 100% happy and satisfied with Homecare. It needs to work – for your benefit and for the benefit of those you love. Wellbeing pride themselves on the recommendations we receive – it’s so important to us to know that our services are valued and so appreciated.
Reputation – again, so closely linked with ‘recommendation’. Our reputation is growing as the company expands. We only employ the best Caregivers and at times, when staffing is under strain, this is so difficult, but our team is built up of the best – we have a reputation to sustain. Our ladies give 101% to the company – they go the extra mile. And in return Wellbeing Homecare respect, value and appreciate all of our Caregivers – they’re the building blocks of the company and without them we couldn’t continue to grow. Our reputation is so important to us. There is no feeling in the world that can match that of, when leaving a care call to hear the service user tell us how much better they feel from our visit. How we’ve lifted them. Probably without our call, they might not even have bothered to get out of bed to face the day. We might be the only callers they have that day – imagine that. The world can be a lonely place and we like to think we provide that bit of much needed companionship and hopefully humour. Its good to put a smile on someones face.
Reviews – this is the first thing I would recommend you to read on a Care Company’s website. Reviews are written from the heart. They’re honest, objective and sometimes the outpouring of emotion. Often written after a loved one has passed away – retrospectively – remembering the difference we’ve made over their latter months or years. Reviews are vital to your decision making when choosing the right Care Company. They are factual, compassionate and truthful. Its worth bearing in mind that, our care givers become friends and sometimes confidants. We’re a listening ear – without bias – we don’t judge, but we listen. Please, I invite you to read Wellbeing Homecare Services reviews. I’m sure they will help you come to a decision.
You’re more than likely entering a new chapter of your lives. Let us help you write your story.
